Check-in attendant Chantal Watkins, 25, said passengers had been passing on their bestwishes and offering condolences to staff all morning.
"The passengers (have been) very supportive and very understanding and a lot of themare very sad too," Ms Watkins said.
"I had a man before give me a card that said: 'I've been flying with you for 32 years,thanks for the memories and good luck'. It made me cry."
The majority of shops in the departures concourse were closed today, with only twofood outlets and a NewsLink newsagency trading.
